After recently opening an office in Dublin, Ireland Foxit’s SDK Business Unit wanted to become a more ingrained part of the Irish business environment. Our marketing team felt that it was the right time to talk about our success from the Debenu days and how marketing has changed since then. And who better to talk about this than our marketing manager Nicolas Derico.
Speaking at the SEO Strategy Meetup in AIB Bank on Grafton Street, Nicolas talked about the search strategy that the SDK Business Unit had before it was taken over by Foxit. Briefly talking through the SDK business, the presentation swiftly moved to talk about how the marketing team identified the niche areas that they wished to rank for on Google, and had they planned to achieve success with limited time, budget and resources.
From creating custom content for each niche, to tracking results and conversions, Nicolas gave a great example of how hard work pays off. Working late into the night and doing most of the work himself the campaign was a success. The success that Debenu felt back in 2015 is still felt today with the website still showing up for the niche areas and dominating the search engine results for the given keywords that brought them success.
Having delivered great insight to the audience present, the question and answer session was just as captivating. Nic expertly answered questions prompting discussion within the crowd that continue in a local bar. Attendees described the presentation as “frank, honest and interesting” and “very insightful and informative”. The drive for professionals in Ireland to learn from others is definitely infectious; we hope to be attending another talk soon.
