Foxit PDF SDK is more secure and feature-rich than ever before!

Highlights:

  • Documentation
  • Signatures
  • Localization

Upgrades to documentation

The documentation has been given a major overhaul with updates to our guide tutorials on topics that relate to the SDK API, XFA form filling, Redaction, Signature control and JavaScript. Our framework projects on React Native, Cordova, and Xamarin are now included within our main guides, which have also been updated. Check out our revamped Knowledge Base here.

New features & enhancements

We’ve added new features to the interpreter including SignatureInfo and Doc/WillClose functions for Foxit PDF SDK 6.3 JavaScript API. This allows you to obtain essential information regarding a signature object and check for its valid/invalid status, as well as control the event triggered before closing a PDF document. Beyond this, we have created two new sample demos on XFA forms and FullText search.

On the mobile side of things, we now support cache storing when opening a PDF file from a URL. We also have two new paper viewing modes; FitWidth and FitPage. These modes are both available at the UI level. You now have the option to use the immovable property for annotations, which includes locking location, size, color (border style and thickness), border style, thickness, transparency, author, subject, and disables deletion. In addition to this, we have additional localization support for a number of languages listed below.

The Locale object is for updating your API automatically to the language based on your location. We are working very hard to make support for multiple languages seamless in every part of the world. The 6.3 release underwent extensive quality assurance and bug fixes to ensure every page was correctly translated. We also ensured that no crashes or twitches in the UI occurred, even when working with large PDFs. This is perfect for customers who work with different languages, meaning no more errors when importing these different language scripts.

More bugs fixed

A number of bugs have also been fixed to ensure that our SDK is the most secure on the market. These include automatic file size increment after signing specific types of PDF files, invalid signature issues after rendering, transparent rectangles displayed while doing pencil drawings on iPad and more.
